As if it's not bad enough the 'American' media is actively working for the defeat of America in the war on terror, they are just as biased against the American auto industry. In the new hybrid market, all you hear about is the japanese made prius and how America only makes huge gas guzzling SUV's. I would bet, a paid day off against a day old donut hole, 90% of Americans do not know Ford makes a hybrid SUV. Many members of the downstream media use the word prius in place of hybrid, as if it is the only hybrid made. Also, apparently unknown to the downstream media, is the fact the japanese are making their own 'gas guzzling' large SUV's and full size trucks, while GM has a hybrid truck. A full size nissan truck with a V8 gets 14 MPG. I wonder how many 'Americans' know that.
   I was listening to a national radio talk show about car repair problems today when an elderly sounding man called about his honda ridgeline, which was the truck of the year last year. The man had an '06 model that gave him some problems he never could get fixed. So, he traded it in......on an '07. He said he figured honda, with its rep for quality, would solve the problem by '07. They hadn't. He then said he was going to trade it for an '08 as soon as it was released because, surely, the problem will be fixed by then. The car expert, who drives a Malibu and swears by it, then asked the man what he drove before the '06 honda (that gave him so much trouble). The response was a Chevy Silverado, with no problems at all. The man did not know, or would not admit, why he changed brands.
    Then the caller admitted his wife was planning to buy a honda accord and wanted to know if he would have the same problems as with his ridgeline. The car doctor told him to look at a Chevy Malibu and he would buy it, guaranteed. The man then  said his wife wanted a honda. The host again said he recommended the Malibu. Then, the caller asked if he should get a hyundai instead of a honda. I do not believe it ever occurred to the caller that the car doc was right about the American car,even though his Chevy truck was trouble free. This is very curious. Why would an 'American' by so determined to send his money, and his neighbor's livelihood, to another country that does not care for us all that much.

  Politicians and media types, trying to validate their agenda, are often heard saying "the majority of Americans" or "most people",or when they are really confident, "people"...bla bla bla, yackity smackity.
These claims are always lies. God Himself is the only one who knows what '"most Americans"' believe. "Most Americans" have not been heard from since Pearl Harbor. Sure, a brief yelp was uttered after 911, but the sleeping giant, as Yammamoto called America in 1941, quickly rolled over and went back to sleep after the quick conquests of Afghanistan and Iraq. Even when the Islamists attacked us after we liberated Iraq, the lying, left wing liberals sang lullabies to America, playing down the threat posed by Islamists, saying we should pick up our ball and go home. Consequently, the silent majority stayed silent and out of the way.
    It is a shame and a disgrace for so called 'Americans', as the left/libbers like to think of themselves (though 'themselves' is the only thing they are interested in), to be willing to sacrifice any and all of the country in which they live, just to have a chance at controlling it, even if only for a while. However, the Dem/libs are not affected by shame because they do not accept blame, they deflect criticism onto their competition, usually someone they unknowingly admire. That is why they are so willing to make so many decisions for other people. Also, this brief reign of power is often used to set them and their cronies up in style for the rest of their lives, though they would be quick to criticize anyone but their closest allies for doing the same, or even if their rivals were innocent, blaming them would distract any scrutiny from themselves. While this practice is well known to the common American, most seem to think it to much trouble to do anything about. It is easier to stand around and gripe about what is wrong, and say they all do it, than to take action on doing something to change things for the better. Just confronting the greedy politicians about the evil deeds said politicians are committing right in front of God and everyone would be better than doing nothing. However, often as not, the few who try to hold corrupt politicians accountable are viewed as kooks, especially when the Dem/Lib standard defense mechanism kicks in, criticizing their rivals so loudly and repeatedly, through the mainstream media, that Americans, by and large believe said 'spewage of sewage'. Besides, according to the infallible mainstream media, the conservative/Repubs are the 'real' bad guys in the whole world. Many people allow themselves to be insulated from even hearing about the transgressions of the left/libbers by only viewing the mainstream media and taking the pond scum given by this polluted source of misinformation as gospel. Many of these fools will even ridicule anyone who disagrees with the 'spewage of sewage' from the network news and their fellow future inhabitants of hell.
    Due to the majority of level headed Americans never running for office, a large percentage of the people willing to run are loudmouth extremists, who have twisted values and very inaccurate belief systems. Often, those who do vote have to choose the lesser of two evils ( the old hold your nose and vote routine, which is getting more and more common). While elected idiots seldom get re-elected (except in San Francisco)  their appointees, who can be even more extreme, can slip through the scrutiny of the people who do vote. This has an eroding effect  on the values the government is governed by. Unfortunately, the erosion of the government's values can have an erosive effect on the younger and more impressionable Americans' values, which adds to the decline and fall of the American Dream.
   While all this is going on, the majority of Americans are just going about their daily lives, living in a bubble. As long as nothing is directly affecting them, as far as they know, mainstream America minds their own business, and requires the world to do the same. This allows the majority of Americans who make their opinion known, people with more extreme views (often twisted by believing so many lies that reality is obscured by clouds of some type of smoke they did not inhale) than the majority of Americans, to do most of the decision making for the whole country. This has been going on for so long, America's core values this country was built upon, are gradually being replaced by the often twisted beliefs of the extremists with the nerve to take a leading role in the direction America is heading. The "majority of America" would rather compromise their core values , to the point of giving them up, than stand up for them, and risk a confrontation. Naturally, this kindness is taken for a weakness, and the 'doormats' become trampled under foot by anyone with the nerve to take advantage of this,still sleeping, giant of which Yamamoto was so wisely afraid. Hopefully, it will awaken before too late. If not, the principles needed, in "the majority" of the inhabitants of a functioning democracy, are going to fade away. Then, sadly, so will America.
