"if a person is easily offended, they either need therapy, or a criminal investigation."
The ridiculous ease in which minorities are offended these days makes it impossible to hold them accountable enough to get them to keep up with the fast-paced advances of today's society. So, unfortunately, many members of minorities become antisocial, and are a burden on the rest of society. Chief among the reasons for this is the penchant for government agencies to give assistance to minorities to the point they do not have to work to be able to eat and have a decent place to live. Minorities do not even have to be citizens, if they can stay here long enough to have a (taxpayer paid for) baby. Undoubtedly, millions of people, who are working, still get government assistance. Add to all this the bad reputation well to do people have among the ignorant, and the poor have much with which to rationalize not putting forth the effort required to get out of the 'getto'. Instead of publicizing the many who have done what it takes to legally go from a poor background to a very comfortable life, which is available to anyone not handicapped, the downstream media frequently reports to the ignorant how it is impossible for a minority type to make something of themselves, and how little the government gives them (out of the money taken from people who do work). Often the unemployed dropped out of school and, naturally, are not qualified for the kind of work that pays the money they have come to believe they deserve (from listening to liberals lie to them to get them to vote liberally).
A person who has done their best in life, and always does the right thing as best they can, is not easy to offend. A perfect example is George Bush. People are calling him all kinds of hurtful names, yet he does not even acknowlege them. He knowws he is doing the right thing,in his opinion, so he is comfortable with who he is, no matter what others say. When it gets down to it, only GOD's and our own opinion of ourselves will have any effect on us in the long run. Besides that, actions are what the people, who are worth impressing, will base their opinions on. In conclusion, if a person is easily offended, they either need therapy, or a criminal investigation.
Many people who are handicapped have done well in America by working hard and being a likeable person. Someone who easily makes friends can succeed with much less effort than someone who is hard to get along with. However, it is not so easy to like someone who is always complaining about how others mistreat them, as they stand under a shade tree drinking a bottle of wine or a 40 ounce beer in the middle of the day, while local businesses have help wanted signs in their windows. I'm gonna be sick. Later.
