Unfortunately, for Liberals, freedom is earned, through taking responsibility. The more freedom you want, the more responsibility you have to take. Many people demand freedom or its twin, control, yet they do not accept the responsibility that comes with it. This is a recipe for disaster, though the disaster may be postponed by an enabler or two. These responsibility shirking, freedom demanding people are called liberals if they are not called alcoholic/addicts. Liberals who are not actually addicted to drugs or alcohol, are usually addicted to control(power). Often, these people are teachers. The really bad ones become Democrat politicians( Hillatola Clintahammud comes to mind). This is not to say all Democrats are liberals.
When a person rejects responsibility, they lose freedom, often unknowingly due to the defense mechanism known as denial. They refuse to acknowledge the truth, even to the point of rewriting history and/or living in a bubble mentally unaware of the outside world, yet claiming to be an authority on, not only what is going on in the world, but also how to deal with it. Then, if their advise is followed, naturally, with poor, even disastrous results, they claim to be misinformed by someone, or their advise was not followed correctly. Nothing is ever their fault. These people become enslaved by the very lies that they live, though they believe they are escaping responsibility by denying guilt. This behavior, left unchecked, eventually spirals out of control, destroying themselves and even everyone around them, because of their continuing projecting blame on others. Can you see this happening to anyone you know of? Maybe someone running for President? Sickening isn't it?
The only way to effectively deal with a disease of the mind like this, and liberalism is a disease, is hold these people accountable for their mistakes( poor choices). Unfortunately, America's conservatives (rather than be called 'right', we should be called 'correct') have been avoiding confrontations with the liberals due to the annoying way the libs debate. When a lib's point is exposed as baseless, (as always) a lib will start talking louder, faster, and, eventually, angrily to get their challenger to stop disagreeing with them before someone realizes the lib's lack of even basic understanding, usually through sheer ignorance, of the issue in which they actually believe they are an expert. Often as not, to me, they have based their opinion on rumors and gossip instead of real research. Sometimes, due to the sickening enabling of the non- confrontational Republicans, the twisted misperceived belief of liberals can become the accepted norm. If conservatives would get a backbone and confront the liberals about their twisted beliefs, which will get worse if not we do not hold these people accountable, it will become easier, and the appearance of being the easier way is what attracts a liberal, to correct their mistakes. Alas, today's Republican 'leaders' would rather lay down like a door mat than stand like a brick wall. Now, I know I am gonna be sick. Where's Raaaaalphhhhhh?
